Steven Hirsch, the co-chairman of adult empire Vivid Entertainment, told The ENQUIRER that he had spoken to Chyna shortly before her death. "She was incredibly popular and her movies were amongst our best sellers," he said. "When I spoke to her last week, she seemed a bit down but was looking toward to the future — which included a meeting with me to discuss making more movies." Chyna's manager agreed that authorities wouldn't rule her death to be a suicide: "You are not going to find 60 pills in her stomach."

Chyna's death happened just days before the one-year anniversary of her return from Japan on June 5, 2015. She had been filming a documentary about her return to Los Angeles after spending a year in Japan as an English teacher. The plan was for the movie to cover an entire year of her life.
