Jon was 33 when he died from a gunshot in Portland, Ore. on Jan 1, 2018 — with police ruling in June that he'd committed suicide. The vegan restauranteur had first found fame as a young Klingon on "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Three years later, he joined "Grace Under Fire" as the son of

Multiple sources reported that Jon's parents pulled the young actor from the set after Brett bared her newly-enhanced breasts to her TV son.
The retired actor later confirmed that the "Grace" scandal ended his career. "All those negative stories started being spread," he said in a 2015 interview. "It was pretty barbaric...I went out on a few interviews. But even then, they’d turn into question-and-answer sessions with casting agents about 'Grace Under Fire.'"
