Cher: Her Fears Over 300-Lb. Chaz’s Health Crisis!

Chaz Bono has superstar Cher terrified that her transgendered son is wrecking his health! The former "Dancing With the Stars" celeb is back to a ballooning waistline — so his fed-up mom is tightening his belt by holding back his monthly allowance! It's the latest shocking development in the dying diva's tragic feud with her children, but medical experts say Cher's in the right!

“He's courting his own self-destruction,” said weight-loss expert Dr. Stuart Fischer, author of “The Park Avenue Diet" — while family friends are also fearing for Chaz's life! As The National ENQUIRER reported in Feb. 2015, the 5'5" reality star dropped an incredible 165 pounds after crushing the scales at a whopping 345!

But by last fall, Chaz was packing on the pounds, with experts now estimating that he's back to topping 300 pounds! “Cher’s given up trying to reason with him,” according to a source close to the 70-year-old star. “She wants to save his life, but nothing she’s done has worked so far. She figures her money talks even better than she can!”

Cher — struggling with her own devastating health issues — is convinced the weight swings will kill her sex- swapper, according to insiders. “After all Chaz has put his body through, from transitioning from female to male, to his fluctuating weight, Cher feels it can’t take much more,” confided the source.

“Yo-yo dieting is among the worst therapies imaginable," added the family friend. "He’s at risk for heart attack and stroke, and at least 60 other illnesses!” Chaz, who grew up as Sonny and Cher’s adorable daughter Chastity, struggled with gender-identity issues before transitioning into a man. But his ongoing battle with the bulge has become a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, pals told The ENQUIRER.

Earlier this summer, Chaz stunned onlookers during a dinner date in Hollywood by wolfing down massive amounts of pasta! “Chaz was gulping down huge amounts of food like it was his last meal — but he took breaks from stuffing his face to slobber all over a pretty Asian girlfriend,” said a source.

Still, Cher isn't being overly sympathetic to her son’s struggles, insiders said. “It’s no surprise she’s pulling back his purse strings,” said the source. “Cher never understood why her child engages in such self-destructive behavior. She’s always been critical of Chaz, and has no intention of stopping now!”
