Manson is said to have left behind several children while cavorting with the homicidal hippies of his Family followers — but Matthew Roberts has emerged as the psycho's most outspoken spawn. “I would like to tell him I love him, because I do,” Matthew told The National ENQUIRER. “Everybody has a unique and special sort of love for their progenitors, even if they are different or disturbed or monsters.”

Matthew also loves his father's bizarre teachings — which his dad spouted while sending disciples to murder Sharon Tate and friends at the Hollywood home she rented with husband Roman Polanski. That was on August 9, 1969 — and the next night, Manson's followers slaughtered Leno and Rosemary LaBianca. Matthew, however, believes his dad was wrongly imprisoned for first-degree murder and conspiracy.

“I don’t feel there was a time when he was promoting murdering innocent people,” Matthew told The ENQUIRER. “It’s not true. That’s what [prosecuting District Attorney Vincent] Bugliosi surmised, but most people have now come to realize and understand that Charles ‘Tex’ Watson orchestrated all of that — and he admitted it, in the taped discussions with his lawyer.”

Matthew, a musician, was adopted as a boy — but found out through letters with his biological mom that Manson was his father, and that he was conceived during a San Francisco orgy in 1967. He doesn’t know who would legally have access to Manson’s estate, but Matthew has been led to believe it is valuable.

Matthew couldn't visit Manson when the cult leader was first rushed to a Bakersfield, Calif., hospital in Jan. 2017 — after the prisoner fell ill in his prison cell. “Just him looking at me and me looking at him could be a pretty profound experience," Matthew said at the time. “I’ve never known what it’s like to lay eyes on my biological parents. That would be a big thing.”

Manson is said to be in his final days after being taken back to the same hospital in Nov. 2017 — but Matthew may never be able to tell the infamous hippie of his hopes to carry on his father's teachings. “I will certainly promote his message,” Matthew vows, “but it will be a nonviolent revolution of consciousness and the evolution of the human spirit.”
