The evil gangbangers who viciously attacked 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz outside of a Bronx convenience store later contacted the dead teen’s devastated relatives — to say “sorry” for killing the wrong guy! The sick message was reportedly sent by a “top leader” of the deadly Trinitarios street gang after shocking surveillance tape turned the bloody attack into a national outrage. “I’m sorry,” the message said. “I know it doesn’t mean a lot. It wasn’t supposed to be him.” But now the Lesandro’s family is taking new comfort as multiple gang members face prison time for the vicious attack!

Police now have 12 suspects in custody for the cowardly attack on June 20 — when Lesandro, who dreamed of becoming a police officer, went down to his corner store after telling his mother he was going to the bodega to repay a debt or lend $5 to a pal. That's where he was mistaken for a similar-looking youth who’d made a sex tape with a female relative of one of the criminal gang.

The slain teen — a member of the NYPD Law Enforcement Explorers — was attacked and dragged flailing out of the store. His brutal execution showed the ruthless goons hacking at him with knives and a machete. Amazingly, the brave teen managed to get to his feet, hold his bleeding throat together and tried to walk to a nearby hospital before collapsing.

The savage execution shocked the city, but it was business as usual for the bloodthirsty Trinitarios gang — founded behind bars by three inmates at New York City’s Rikers Island in 1992, according to a Department of Justice profile. The murderous mob, which has plagued the five boroughs ever since, is the country’s largest Dominican underworld organization.

The young thugs, mostly in their teens, battle their fiercest rivals, a crew called Dominicans Don’t Play, for turf to peddle heroin and cocaine. Tragically, LaSandro's law-enforcement legacy is now simply the hope that his murderers will be brought to justice.
