America’s beloved pastor — a close friend to U.S. presidents from Dwight D. Eisenhower to George W. Bush — confessed to The National ENQUIRER he suffered “a strange foreboding” about JFK’s ill-fated trip to Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. Eerily, he also confided to friends that he was “overcome” with feelings that Marilyn was “in deep trouble” before her tragic death!

While visiting Texas less than a month before JFK’s assassination, Rev. Graham exclusively told The ENQUIRER, “I had a feeling of imminent and impending tragedy that I couldn’t shake off and I realized that the president’s visit was preying heavily on my mind. I felt I should make some effort to warn Mr. Kennedy that his trip was a mistake!

“I put through a call to Sen. George Smathers (left) of Florida, a close friend of mine … to see if he could dissuade Mr. Kennedy from taking what I felt was a doomed trip! Sen. Smathers was out of his office, however.

“I felt burdened! A great sadness filled my heart. I was so disturbed that I talked the matter over with a close friend, Rev. Calvin Thielman, a pastor in Montreat, N.C. That Friday, Nov. 22, Calvin and I were at a country club in Montreat, preparing to play a round of golf, when the manager of the local radio station called and told us the president had just been shot!”

Dr. Graham has experienced a similarly chilling sense of dread for Marilyn Monroe — just before the actress’ tragic 1962 suicide! “As a matter of fact, I tried to reach her only days before she took her life,” he recalled. “I woke up in the middle of the night, overcome by a strange feeling that she was in deep trouble.

“I was so troubled that even though it was midnight, I put through a call to film producer Dick Roth — a friend of both myself and Marilyn. I told him she was in need of spiritual help and that I wanted to talk to her about her relationship to God. But Mr. Roth said Miss Monroe wasn’t seeing anyone or taking any calls.”

Days later, on Aug. 5, 1962, Marilyn was found dead of an overdose in her Brentwood, Calif., home.
