The View has been on since 1997 thanks to Barbara Walters, but so it turns out, the talk show — known for its drama and chaos — has a creator who was far from friendly on set!
Huffington Post shared a never-before-read excerpt of Ramin Setoodeh’sLadies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of The View, and shared that Barbara “held a tight grip on the show, but was also deeply egomaniacal and threatened by women who are more popular.”

One instance was when Barbara received a copy of Rosie O’Donnell’s book Celebrity Detox when they weren’t on speaking terms at the time. Barbara wasn’t portrayed well in the book, so she allegedly angrily took the book to The New York Post to leak the publication.
