Alan Thicke: ‘Growing Pains’ Star Dead At 69

Alan Thicke has died at the age of 69 — leaving behind a legacy as a sitcom star both on-camera and behind the scenes. The "Growing Pains" star passed away from a heart attack on Dec. 13 while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter.

He's survived by two more sons — Brennan and pop star Robin — and his wife Tanya, who had him ready to become a dad again! The National ENQUIRER had the scoop on how Alan — who also wrote the theme songs to the classic sitcoms "Diff'rent Strokes" and "The Facts Of Life" — was talking with Tanya about becoming a dad again in 2017!

“He’d like to make Tanya’s baby dream come true,” dished an insider, but “he just doesn’t want to be an 88-year-old dad when his kid graduates high school.” Sadly, Alan (seen here with Tanya in Oct. 2016) has now passed, leaving behind one of Hollywood's most trusting wives.

“That’s the great thing about Alan," boasted Tanya in 2015. "He’s already slept with everyone in L.A., so I don’t have to worry about anything. It’s all out of his system!”
