The disturbing look at Hernandez's final moments are found in the official report from the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Massachusetts — just miles from the stadium where the disgraced NFL star had earned millions as a tight end with the New England Patriots. Sources have suggested that Hernandez killed pal Odin Lloyd because the semi-pro player knew about the athlete's secret gay life. The killer's final moments, however, were filled with thoughts of martydom!

The Biblical passage of "John 3:16" reads: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." Meanwhile, Hernandez perished while using his blood — from "a fresh cut" on his right middle finger — to also write the "John 3:16" on the wall, along with other troubling drawings that aren't described in the report.

Hernandez's cause of death was still self-inflicted strangulation, as detailed in the report about his body being found: "Hernandez had put a large amount of shampoo on the floor, which made it very slippery. The corrections officers were able to cut Hernandez down, who was hanging naked from a bed sheet tied around the window bars...Ligature marks were visible on Hernandez's neck, and there was some discharge/vomit from his nose and mouth areas."
