Miley Cyrus is in serious talks to join Broadway’s raunchy revival of Cabaret, but the “Wrecking Ball” pop rebel isn’t gunning for the part made famous by Liza Minnelli — instead, sources say, she wants to play the glitter-drenched, gender-blurring Emcee.

“Miley wants to play the Master of Ceremonies,” says a theater insider of the role created by Joel Grey. “She thinks it’s more dynamic, more daring and, frankly, more her.”

Producers initially courted Miley for the role of boozy chanteuse Sally Bowles, but “she’s not interested in being a Liza clone,” says a Broadway source. “She wants to flip the table — and she’s not afraid to rewrite Broadway tradition to do it.”
