Talk about a Perfect Storm! PENELOPE CRUZ, who’s usually a sweetie-pie to work with, can’t stop snappin’ and snarlin’ at cast and crew on the set of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” – but, hey, let’s cut La Senora some slack because (a) she’s five months pregnant; (b) she quit smoking cold turkey after learning Baby was on the way, and (c) blew her fiery Spanish stack at Oscar-winning hubby JAVIER BARDEM after he swore he’d quit smoking with her – but reneged and kept on puffing. Ay, caramba!
Here’s a report from my trusted source, Onda Settalot: “Penelope’s been an absolute bear, losing her temper with everyone over the slightest thing. To be fair, she always apologizes for her hissy fits and blames her mood swings on kicking cigarettes – but she’s totally furious because Javier broke his promise to show support by quitting with her. Now when he shows up on the set, she absolutely refuses to allow him to light up around her!”
