With no rain and 100-degree-plus weather, California’s hills are a tinderbox, so “NCIS” star MARK HARMON – driving home from the show’s set in Santa Clarita – averted possible disaster when he spotted a gang of young boys firing bottle rockets into the wooded slopes.
Pulling over, he reminded them it was fire season and playing with explosives could endanger people and animals.
The boys got mouthy at first, but when Mark threatened to phone the cops, they hopped on their bikes and hauled butt!
