Madonna & Elton John’s Rekindled Friendship In Danger as the Icons Butt Heads Over Upcoming Duet
Madonna and Elton John only recently repaired their long rift and already they’re getting on each other’s nerves again.
Sources say the odd couple is battling over the beat, lyrics, and who gets top billing in a collaborative duet that was supposed to be a pop reconciliation for the ages.
“It’s like two monarchs trying to rule the same kingdom,” says a source. “She wants to cowrite the song and bring in her own producers, but Elton’s like, ‘Darling, I’ve written with Bernie Taupin for 50 years. I’ve got this,’” says a music insider.
