How ‘Saturday Night Live’ Breakout Star Marcello Hernandez is Burning Bridges Behind the Scenes
SNL breakout comic Marcello Hernández is listed as “featured player” in the credits, but sources say that behind the scenes, he’s a legend in his own mind after his hot sex scenes with actress Michelle Williams in FX’s buzzy limited series Dying for Sex.
“He’s charming and he knows it,” admits one longtime crew member. “But that ‘new kid goes Hollywood’ energy doesn’t always play well backstage.”
Some insiders are comparing it to when ex-SNLEr Pete Davidson got too big for his britches and started skipping table reads so he could go to movie shoots.
“Marcello’s got that same heat — and the same pushback,” reveals another source. “But SNL thrives on ensemble energy, not divas.”
