“Harry’s been quietly obsessed with Sydney for a while. He thinks she’s insanely talented and absolutely gorgeous,” an insider says. The singer has been scouting for a new leading lady since splitting from galpal Taylor Russell, 30, over a year ago.

“Harry’s trying to figure out if Sydney’s open to dating now that she’s single again because he’s not the type to come on super strong,” the source says.

He’s been asking industry insiders if they can introduce them because he doesn’t want to be one of those guys who just DMs her randomly, shares the source.

According to friends, Sydney is totally Harry’s type. “He loves women who take charge and step into their power, so he’s totally impressed that Sydney has her own production company,” the source says.

The former boy bander has dated beautiful power players through the years, including Taylor Swift, Olivia Wilde, Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski.

And Sydney is a longtime fan of his — she gushed about him being one of her favorite artists while promoting her 2023 movie Anyone But You.

“It’s hard to imagine that she’d turn down a chance to go out with him, because she’s a huge One Direction fan. She’s even talked publicly about how nervous she was meeting them as a teenager years ago,” the source says. “It goes to show how humble Harry is. Most guys in his position would assume it was a sure thing simply because she’s a fan.”
