“Austin Powers” star Verne Troyer will be in Cincinnati this weekend at the city’s annual Oktoberfest celebration — leading a kazoo band.
Trying to break the record for the world’s largest musical ensemble, Troyer and 20,000 revelers will participate in the Chicken Dance, while performing the song on their kazoos.
Described as “The World’s Largest Chicken Dance and Kazoo Band,” spokesman Raymond L. Buse III says that not only do they hope to break the record, they want to show that Cincinnati is a fun-filled city.
Buse says that Troyer was picked to lead the band because of his appeal to a broad audience and adds that “he’s created a terrific energy around the event.”
