Rob Shuter reports….  Lynda Carter — the 1972 Miss World America titleholder who went on to star as TV’s “Wonder Woman”  — reached out to “Real Housewives of New York City” star Luann de Lesseps before her latest meltdown.

“Lynda has been sober for 21 years and is very involved with the center in Maryland where she got treatment,” a source told The National ENQUIRER.

Lynda, who described her fight with the bottle to The ENQUIRER in 2008, was fortunate not to have suffered public missteps similar to Luann’s recent embarrassments.

“She knows Luann and offered to get her into the facility, but she refused,” the source continued, although Luann would later open up in early August about a second stint in therapy. The insider added: “Everyone hopes this time she takes it seriously!”
