Keanu Reeves has given away part of the money he was due to make with the sequel to The Matrix.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Reeves has given his profit-sharing points to the crews of the special effects team and costume designers.

“He felt that they were the ones who made the movie and they should participate,” says a source quoted in the Journal.

This is not the first time Reeves has shared his piece of the pie – the Journal also reports that he gave part of his salary for The Devil’s Advocate in order for the producers of the flick to be able to afford the talents of Al Pacino, and on The Replacements to work with Gene Hackman.
