IS KATIE COURIC’S DECISION MADE?

description

Today show host Katie Couric has struck a deal with CBS to become the first solo female evening news anchor. Television Week reports that a deal has been “completed in principle,” and an announcement could come as early as this week. Couric, 49, is coming to the end of a four-year, $65 million contract with NBC’s Today. NBC had reportedly offered her $20 million a year to stay. If Katie jumps ship, The View‘s Meredith Viera is said to be the leading candidate to replace her.
