CLINTON & CAREY COMMEMORATE MUSIC

description

Recently Bill Clinton and Mariah Carey appeared at the Louise Spencer Elementary School in Newark, New Jersey to help commemorate the reintroduction of instrumental music classes to the school curriculum.

The ex-president, who plays the saxophone, and Carey both declined to perform.

India Arie, an acoustic singer, did sing a short song for the grateful students, and Clinton encouraged them to pursue their musical dreams.

“A few years from now,” said Clinton, “Somebody’s going to be on a stage like this doing what Mariah and India did today. It might as well be you.”
