Carson Daly of MTV’s “Total Request Live” fame has signed a deal with NBC to host the late-night talk show “Later.”
The three-year deal reportedly allows Daly to continue his appearances on “TRL” and syndicated radio shows, while performing hosting duties on “Later,” which follows “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” on NBC.
Although most of Daly’s fans probably won’t be up that late — the show airs at 12:30 a.m. — the network is pleased with their choice. ”We’re happy to add another Carson to our long line of late-night hosts,” said NBC Entertainment president Jeff Zucker.
