Gerard Butler and Morgan Brown’s Romance Hits a Crossroads After More Than a Decade Together

Scottish screen stud Gerard Butler’s 11-year romance with Morgan Brown is on life support as the interior designer believes her longtime beau is never going to pop the question, sources confide.

“Gerry always used to say he wanted to settle down at 50 and start a family,” says a friend of the actor. “But today, at 55, he’s no closer to proposing to Morgan than he was five years ago.”

Insiders say Morgan, 54, should have realized long ago that Gerard was never really serious about closing the deal.

The on-again, off-again couple has dated since 2014 — bouncing back from splits in 2016 and 2020 and reuniting again in 2022.

“It’s been a roller coaster for Morgan, who has been focusing on her L.A. interior design business. She doesn’t date and instead waits around for Gerry to pop into town or ask her to join him on a set somewhere,” the friend explains.

“She’s not willing to put her life on hold any longer and wants to move on.”

Before romancing Morgan, sources say the Angel Has Fallen star packed his dating calendar with A-list ladies, including Cameron Diaz, Rosario Dawson and Naomi Campbell.

Sources add that Gerard doesn’t realize what he had in Morgan and will someday regret not putting a ring on it.

“She was a great girl and great to him,” an insider says. “She deserved better.”
