Dolly Parton Pledges Lifelong Devotion to Late Husband Carl Dean in Touching Private Tribute
Country superstar Dolly Parton, 79, has privately declared she’ll never remarry following the death of her beloved husband, Carl Dean, earlier this year as her heart is spoken for — forever, sources tell Straight Shuter.
“Carl was her one and only,” reveals a friend. “Dolly says no one could ever come close.”
Carl remained a quiet, loyal presence during the couple’s 58-year marriage — and famously avoided the spotlight.
“She always said the secret to their marriage was that he never tried to steal the show,” the friend adds.
Despite her playful stage persona, Dolly never strayed.
“Her flirt game was legendary,” an insider recalls. “But it was all for laughs. The real Dolly went home to Carl.”
