Get a canary as Coal Miner’s Daughter LORETTA LYNN flips for “New Girl” star ZOOEY DESCHANEL!

LORETTA LYNN’s own story heading to Broadway with triple-threat  ZOOEY to play the living legend.

Lynn, 80, repeated history with the announcement of the joint  project and Zooey’s casting as she brought  Deschanel on stage following an Opry Country Classics performance last night.

Loretta and Zooey then sang a duet of “Coal Miner’s Daughter”  from the upcoming tuner.

In 1979, Loretta did the same thing at the Grand Ole Opry to announce the casting of Sissy Spacek in the movie version of her life which netted Sissy an Oscar for best actress.

"It's a long way from Butcher Holler to Broadway in New York City," Loretta told the enthusiastic crowd. "I never imagined I’d see Coal Miner’s Daughter on a movie screen, and now I can’t believe it’s going to be on a stage for people to see. I’m going to be right there in the front row. And I know Zooey is going to be great – she sings and writes her own songs just like I do, and we even have the same color eyes!"

"Loretta Lynn and her music have been inspirations for me for as long as I can remember," Zooey said.

"She is a true legend and to be chosen to play such an iconic woman is a dream come true."
