AFTER years of being on shaky ground, WHITNEY HOUSTON’s ex-hubby BOBBY BROWN desperate to make up with daughter BOBBI KRISTINA, insiders say.
Bobbi Kristina – known as Krissi to her friends – spent little time with Bobby after her parents divorced in 2007, and he’s convinced Whitney’s family trash-talked him to his little girl, sources say.
Determined to get back in his daughter’s good graces, Brown treated 19-year-old Krissi to a 90-minute lunch at the upscale seafood restaurant Blue Fin in New York’s Times Square on April 24.
“After her parents’ divorce, Krissi spent most of her time with Whitney,” an insider told The ENQUIRER. “It’s easy to understand why Bobby thinks Krissi has been brainwashed against him. Now he’s doing all he can to rebuild their relationship. He truly adores his daughter and wants to play an active role in her life.”
The last time that Whitney, Bobby and their daughter were together as a family was when they met for dinner at a Beverly Hills restaurant on Feb. 1.
As The ENQUIRER later re¬vealed, Whitney and Bobby had rekindled their love affair, and he told friends they were planning to remarry.
According to Bobby’s close pal, author Derrick Handspike, they broke the happy news to Krissi over that dinner, but Whitney passed away on Feb. 11 before they could wed.
Despite his good intentions, the 43-year-old New Edition singer’s badboy past still haunts him. The day after his lunch with Krissi, Bobby pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge in Los Angeles.
