Rob Shuter reports…. Willard Scott — the legendary pre-Al Roker ‘Today‘ weatherman who introduced the show’s 100th-birthday tributes — has been confined to a wheelchair after a stroke.
“Willard isn’t doing great, but at 84 years old he’s still getting out of the house,” a pal told The National ENQUIRER.
“He keeps busy seeing Broadway shows and was recently spotted at the Tony Awards party at the Plaza Hotel.”

In addition to his 35-year association with ‘Today,’ Scott’s credits include originating the Ronald McDonald clown character for McDonalds back in the 1960s, as well as a stint playing Bozo.
“Willard doesn’t keep in touch with many of his old TV family,” the source continued. “But he still watches ‘Today’ every morning.”
