President George W. Bush disappears and that’s the way the GOP wants it!
White House flack Dana Perino says the Prez is laying low and that his invisibility is by design because "the Republican Party wanted to make this election about John McCain."
"The president knows there are people in this country who want change and are looking for something new," Perino said.
Since President Bush first endorsed McCain back on March 5, the two titans of the Republican Party have appeared together in public for a total of 12 minutes.
In the meantime, W’s been chillin’ at retreat Camp David and voted by absentee ballot.
He plans a small dinner at the White House tomorrow to watch the returns like the rest of us and celebrate wife Laura‘s B-day.
No word whether they ever plan to catch Oliver Stone‘s new flick W.
