VALIANT VALERIE HARPER’S BACK FROM THE DEAD

Beloved “Rhoda” actress VALERIE HARPER is looking for new projects – just two years after the cancer-stricken star was given only three months to live!

“Valerie has an amazing attitude,” said a close pal.

“In her mind, she’s no longer dying from cancer, she’s living with it!”

The 75-year-old TV star was told in 2013 that her non-small cell lung cancer had spread to her brain, and she should get her affairs in order.

“Valerie got busy drawing up her will and planning her funeral,” revealed a longtime friend.

But her devoted husband, Tony Cacciotti, wasn’t willing to accept her death sentence and focused on finding her the best medical attention, according to insiders.

While her cancer remains terminal, Valerie is doing much better than doctors expected, insiders added.

“Today Valerie says she’s not only feeling well, she’s looking forward to going back to work!” said a source.

Valerie confided to a friend: “Of course I can’t work seven days a week, eight hours a day.

“But I would love to do a great guest spot or perform a small role on Broadway.”

The gutsy star is a walking miracle thanks to a new cancer drug called Tarceva, which has extended both the quantity and quality of her life, according to a pal.

For now, Valerie’s determined to live each day to the fullest, and she’s reconnecting with old friends as well.

“At least once a week, Valerie phones Mary Tyler Moore at her home in Greenwich, Connecticut,” divulged the source. “Mary’s battling diabetes and she’s all but blind, but they manage to make each other laugh!”
