Just days before she was rushed to the hospital, Valerie Harper contacted her dear friend Mary Tyler Moore to say how much she loved her, a source told The National ENQUIRER.
An impassioned Valerie added: “I’ll see you on the other side, Mary!”
The insider told The ENQUIRER: “I think Valerie had a premonition that something bad was about to happen to her.”
The “Rhoda” star – who was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer in Jan. 2013 – told an audience in May: “I’m ready. I’m ready to go.”
On July 29, while preparing for an evening performance at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine, Valerie suffered a health emergency.
The fire department said they received a call at 8:56 p.m. about an unconscious 75-year-old female backstage, and she was taken to York Hospital.
Valerie was then moved to another hospital, and was reportedly in a coma.
As The ENQUIRER has reported, her once-sassy pal, 78-year-old Mary, is wasting away on her deathbed.
She hasn’t been seen in public since April 2013.
Mary and Valerie became lifelong friends when they co-starred on the iconic “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” in the 1970s.
In her 1995 memoir, “After All,” Mary wrote: “We clicked immediately, and I knew I’d made a friend.”
