Rosie O’Donnell is publicly taking credit for helping police rescue her estranged wife Michelle Rounds from a suicide attempt — but a source told The ENQUIRER “big bully” Rosie was actually responsible for causing the incident!
“Rosie got word that Michelle wanted to bring a new lawyer into their nasty divorce and custody battle and she went ballistic,” said the source.
“She viciously threatened that Michelle would never see their adopted 2-year-old daughter Dakota again and drove the poor woman into almost taking her life!
“It takes some nerve on Rosie’s part to then come out and plant stories in the media that thanks to her, Michelle is alive!”
Following Rosie’s threat, The ENQUIRER learned a depressed and despondent Michelle checked into a room at the DoubleTree Hotel in Nanuet, N.Y., near her home.
While Michelle later claimed she suffered a reaction to medication, a hotel source said Michelle “wanted to kill herself” and mixed pills with wine before police were able to force their way into her room. She was hospitalized before being released.
Rosie, 53, and Michelle, 44, who married in 2012 and split last November, are scheduled to meet again in court Oct. 21.
