Country cutie Trisha Yearwood is headlining an all-star cast for a live musical event about the last hours of Jesus Christ’s life — and the modern update on “The Greatest Story Ever Told” is set to shock some viewers!

Garth Brooks’ wife will play Jesus’ mother, Mary, in “The Passion,” which is not your average Easter play.

Penned by “High School Musical” writer Peter Barsocchini and arranged by Adam Anders of “Glee,” the production will show Jesus getting arrested — and wearing an orange prison jump suit!

Viewers can expect Trisha’s character to bolster her TV son, who has not yet been cast, with her version of Whitney Houston’s classic, “My Love is Your Love.”

This role is a BIG departure from the Grammy-winning singer’s regular TV gig — showing off her cooking skills on Food Network’s “Southern Kitchen.” Trisha has also been busy accompanying hubby Garth on his nationwide tour — but “The Passion” is set in just one surprising place: New Orleans!

Actor/director Tyler Perry will host and narrate the FOX show, slated to air March 20, which will be shot around Louisiana’s Crescent City.

“My hope and prayer is that it leaves people with a sense of hope, faith and forgiveness,” he says.
