Teresa Giudice of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is getting the best Christmas present this week: A “Get out of jail early” card that will have her home for the holiday!
Here are five facts you need to know to understand what’s going on:
Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison and husband Joe got 41 months in 2014 for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. Basically, the couple was accused of hiding their fortune when filing for bankruptcy. In addition, Joe was accused of failing to file tax returns between 2004 and 2008. He begins serving his sentence in February.
Teresa is getting sprung early, after serving just 11 ½ months at Danbury (Conn.) Federal Correctional Institute because she was a first time, non-violent offender who exhibited good behavior.
The planned divorce is off! RadarOnline has learned that the 43-year-old housewife is sticking with her 43-year-old husband. “She will never file for divorce,” a source told Radar. “They’ll never get divorced.”
Even though she will no longer be behind bars, Teresa is not out of the woods yet. She will be required to wear a monitoring device on her ankle and be confined to her home until Feb. 5. After that, she will be on two years of supervised release, according to her lawyer.
Teresa plans to dive right back into filming “RHONJ”! She will be permitted to participate in the show, because that is her means of earning a living.
