Movie buffs and comic enthusiasts will be able to own a piece of iconic pop imagery when Chris Reeve’s costume from the Superman flicks hits the auction block in Melbourne, Australia.
The tunic and leotard sporting the S symbol was used in Superman II while the red trunks and yellow belt are from Reeve’s debut in Superman The Movie.
The composite super-costume was used in cost-saving Superman III.
Reeve who played the Man of Steel in 4 flicks between 1978 and 1987 died in 2004.
One word for the winner – don’t . . . tug on Superman’s cape.
