SELLECK EQUINE ADORATION

description

MAGNUM PI star TOM SELLECK’s stunning admission…

"There’s NOTHING like a good horse."

Selleck told American Cowboy magazine that he became so attached to Spike the horse he rode in his movie westerns Quigley Down Under and Last Stand at Saber River, he spent thousands  shipping the steed back to his California ranch from Australia.

After wrapping the flicks, Tom attempted to buy the horse from his handlers – but they refused to sell.

Intead, they gave Spike to Selleck as a gift.

"I was very touched," Tom said.

"But then I found out it would cost me about $7,000 to fly him here from Australia."

Spike, now in his mid 20s, is firmly ensconced in Selleck’s Ventura County ranchero and the lanky mustachioed star has never stopped riding him.
