“I won’t die behind bars!”

Those were the defiant words of 78-year-old monster Bill Cosby after he was finally charged for a 2004 sex and drug assault in Pennsylvania, a source told The National ENQUIRER.

But in a bombshell world exclusive, The ENQUIRER has learned that America’s once-quintessential TV dad will most certainly draw his last breath in the slammer!

According to law enforcement sources, secretly recorded audiotapes made by his accuser — Andrea Constand — will be the “smoking gun” evidence that prosecutors will use to put Cosby behind bars for at least 10 years!

“Bill Cosby will be nailed by his own words on those tapes!” a police snitch told The ENQUIRER.

“After Andrea went to cops in Canada alerting them to her attack, Cosby initiated telephone conversations with her. What he didn’t know was that he was being recorded, and the tapes support Andrea’s allegations that he drugged and raped her!”

Cosby — who played beloved Dr. Cliff Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” — lived out his worst nightmare when Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman filed three felony charges of aggravated indecent assault against him on Dec. 30.

The father-of-five appeared disoriented — and did not enter a plea in court before he was processed and fingerprinted at a local jail.

In a sensational dramatization, The ENQUIRER can reveal the scene inside the jailhouse when the sicko sexual predator was likely handcuffed out of sight from the media. After a judge set his bail at $1 million, the disgraced entertainer posted a 10 percent cash bond, and was released. He was forced to surrender his passport.

Cosby’s highly paid lawyers have repeatedly denied the claims of countless women who claim he drugged and attacked them over a 43-year span from 1965 — just a year after he married wife Camille — to 2008.

The attack on Andrea, now 42, allegedly occurred in January 2004 at the Cosby’s five-acre estate in Cheltenham, Pa.

Camille was not present.

Cops initially declined to prosecute Cosby, but that changed when shocking admissions he made in a previously sealed deposition for a civil lawsuit were made public last July.

Cosby admitted putting his hands down Andrea’s pants and fondling her. He also confessed giving women Quaaludes for sexual encounters.

What’s more, a secret court file obtained by The ENQUIRER alleges Cosby immobilized “semi-conscious” Andrea before he “touched her breasts and vaginal area, rubbed his penis against her hand, and digitally penetrated” her.

“[She] awoke feeling raw in and around her vaginal area … her clothes and undergarments were in disarray.” Then Cosby “greeted her in his bathrobe.”
