SEAN CONNERY GIVES “COLDFINGER” TO JAMES BOND

SEAN CONNERY’s ice cold DISS to 007 film execs organizing the 50th b-day bash for his celebrated character James Bond!

The 82-year-old actor originated the big-screen role of the suave secret agent in 1962’s “Dr. No” and launched one of the most lucrative franchises in Hollywood history.

But sources say he’s still bitter because he feels shortchanged by the original Bond producers, the late Albert “Cubby” Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Connery claims he got less than one-fiftieth of the fortune they made off his six iconic films, so now he’s refusing to participate in any 007 tributes.

“I had many problems during the Bond movies,” Connery has said. “There was a conflict from the beginning.”

While other Bond actors, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan, contributed commentaries about their roles in the popular franchise for a complete collection of Bond films on Blu-ray disc, Connery didn’t.

MGM was forced to dig up old 007-related interviews with him to cover his glaring absence.

And the OSCAR winner – a Scotsman knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 1999 – is also refusing to take part in any events related to Bond’s 50th anniversary celebrations, his publicist Nancy Seltzer confirmed.

“Sean is, and remains, retired and has declined making public appearances,” she said. That includes a star-studded dinner for Bond cast and crew members to coincide with the release of the latest 007 film, “Skyfall,” starring Daniel Craig.

“MGM is splashing out big bucks for the dinner, but Connery has even rejected an invitation to that,” an industry source told The ENQUIRER. “He’s still THAT upset!”
