Sandra Bullock’s father, voice coach John W. Bullock, has passed away at the age of 93 in Birmingham, Ala. — with the “Gravity” star’s longtime boyfriend Bryan Randall going to social media to make the announcement.
“On Sept. 18 at 1o:04 pm CST,” wrote Bryan, “surrounded by family and friends, John W. Bullock left the building. As a father, grandfather and WWII veteran, we #thankyouforyourservice” — adding “P.S. Hey God, we’re sending you a live one!”
John was also a retired contractor, and was married to Sandra’s mother Helga until her death from colon cancer in 2000.
It’s a tragic end to a large vigil by Sandra, who’d put her career on hold while staying at her father’s side after promoting “Ocean’s 8” earlier this year.
Sandra had become a familiar presence in Birmingham during the recent years as she regularly visited her ailing father. An insider told The National ENQUIRER earlier in 2018 that “Sandra’s put any new projects on hold” as her father’s health began to decline in recent months.
