The Flying Nun may be flying the coop!
After appearing in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons in London, Sally Field is ditching Tinseltown to seek solace in rediscovering her roots in France this summer, a source spilled, adding: “She’s decided to take a small cottage in the countryside and absorb all things French and far from Hollywood!”
And though a rep denied it, a source revealed, “Sally wants to get away from Hollywood and reminders of the tough times she’s been through.”
The 72-year-old, two-time Oscar winner had a tough year, reliving her abusive childhood in her memoir, In Pieces, and losing one of her great loves, Burt Reynolds.
The star has admitted she’s pretty much a loner, so being on her own won’t bother her at all, according to insiders.
“Sally wants to browse farmers’ markets and indulge herself in French food and wines,” said the source.
“If she falls in love with France, she may never come back!”
