In the latest scandal to rock Hollywood’s most dysfunctional family, RYAN O'NEAL has told his son with the late FARRAH FAWCETT: “You’re going to kill yourself!”
But notorious druggie Redmond O’Neal can’t kick his addiction and is still on a downward spiral!
“Ryan has told his wayward son that he’s better off in jail – because that may be the only thing right now that’s going to save his life,” a family insider told The National ENQUIRER.
Concerned pals have reported 30-year-old Redmond – who’s been in and out of rehab over a heroin addiction – is now hooked on the deadly hallucinogen PCP.
Sadly, the family only learned of Redmond’s tragic drug relapse after a warrant was issued in April for his parole violations.
“No doubt this has Farrah spinning in her grave, and his dad, Ryan, has gone ballistic,” said the friend.
The ENQUIRER has also seen a private website post that Redmond’s distraught half-brother Griffin wrote on May 20.
Captioning a picture of an emaciated-looking Redmond smoking what appears to be a hand-rolled cigarette, Griffin, 50, wrote: “This breaks my heart … Smoking PCP in public like it ain’t no thang … I pray for you brother.”
Said the source: “Griffin’s worried that Redmond has a death wish, and that tough love and jail may be the only thing to save him.”
The troubling setback is especially hurtful to Ryan after Redmond proclaimed himself drug-free in 2013 – partly crediting his shameful stint in jail while his mother was dying of cancer in 2009.
“If Redmond doesn’t get help soon, he may not live to see the six-year anniversary of his mother’s death on June 25!” the source told The ENQUIRER.
