Outspoken Rosie O’Donnell is returning to the TV talk show wars by rejoining “The View,” but her comeback is also creating an explosive new battlefield with wife Michelle Rounds.

The 52-year-old funny lady had one controversy-filled year on the popular talk show before leaving in 2007, but she recently jumped at the chance to return after being wooed by ABC.

The chatfest has seen the recent retirement of its 84-year-old creator Barbara Walters and the firings of Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd – leaving Whoopi Goldberg as the lone remaining panelist.

But despite ABC’s invitation to Rosie, a miffed Michelle “practically begged her” not to rejoin the show, believing it would wreck their two-year marriage, said a source. The pair tied the knot in June 2012 and adopted their baby daughter, Dakota, in January 2013.

“Michelle has loved having Rosie all to herself, and she fears the daily grind of returning to ‘The View’ is going to turn their lives upside down,” revealed the source.

“Plus, with Rosie’s demanding schedule, Michelle is going to be left on her own much of the time, parenting their daughter.”
