Rosie O’Donnell — one of the most hated women in the history of daytime TV — is setting herself up to take over Julie Chen’s vacated seat on “The Talk.”

“It feels like every lady in Hollywood wants to replace Julie — but it’s Rosie’s name that keeps coming up!” dished a show snitch, who said the TV washout has been talking to producers about the gig.

The combative comedian wore out her welcome twice on rival girly gabfest “The View,” and insiders called her a shocking choice, given her massive ego and ability to antagonize co-hosts.

Rosie had on-air blowups with both  Whoopi Goldberg and Elisabeth Hasselbeck before quitting her second stint in 2015, citing anxiety issues.

“My doctor said to me, The stress is too much,’” Rosie complained.

Insiders still say that ratings-hungry producers are counting on Rosie to generate controversy on “The Talk,” according to media moles — while the caustic comic has made her own family-friendly move by getting engaged to Massachusetts cop Elizabeth Rooney!

“Rosie is great TV,” the tipster tattled. “Love her or hate her, she brings in viewers!”
