ROSIE O’Donnell is unraveling on “The View,” and friends fear her marriage to Michelle Rounds could end in a $100 million divorce!
The outspoken mother of five has been sparring on-air with co-host Whoopi Goldberg, and throwing temper tantrums behind the scenes, sources dished to The National ENQUIRER.
“You can imagine how it must be at home for poor Michelle,” a source said. “Rosie has long battled depression and she’s prone to screaming fits. The pressure she’s been under on the show has left her coming apart at the seams.
“Living with Rosie before ‘The View’ was no picnic for Michelle. I think it’s only a matter of time before she pulls the plug on the marriage.”
Rosie, 52, appeared to hit her breaking point during an on-air shouting match with Whoopi over race relations on Dec. 18.
Things have gotten so bad that fellow “View” panelist Rosie Perez, who has become a viewer favorite, is bolting to do a Broadway show.
Michelle, a gorgeous executive search consultant, met Rosie in 2011 – the same year Rosie split from then-girlfriend Tracy Kachtick-Anders.
But the couple has had a rocky road – starting with Michelle’s ultra-conservative father, Roger Rounds, expressing shock at being told by The ENQUIRER that his daughter was gay.
Michelle, 43, was diagnosed with rare gastrointestinal desmoid tumors in May 2012, and had surgery to remove them. The ordeal forced Rosie and Michelle to postpone their nuptials. They finally wed in June 2012.
Only two months later, Rosie suffered a heart attack and underwent surgery. In 2013 the pair adopted a baby girl, Dakota.
Now Rosie’s return to the daytime talk show has turned into a disaster.
“Rosie went through a divorce in 2009 from first wife Kelli Carpenter that was especially difficult because of their four children,” explained the source.
“Now I expect Michelle’s having second thoughts on her marriage. If she and Rosie split, it will lead to a $100 million divorce.”
