Roseanne Barr says her character on the revived sitcom “Roseanne” will support Donald Trump — just like she backs the president in real life!
“I’ve always attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and of working-class people,” says Roseanne, whose retooled comedy returns to ABC on March 27.
“In fact, it was working-class people who elected Trump.”

But not everyone on the series will be a fan, which will set up tension in the fictional Conner clan.
“It’s a great thing to have a family divided by politics but still filled with love,” said Sara Gilbert, who reprises her role as daughter Darlene.
“This is a smart move by Barr,” added a showbiz insider. “She’s staying true to her brand and her fans will respond — and tune in!”
