Singing soaper and sometime CALIFORNICATION star RICK SPRINGFIELD cops a plea and eludes being Jessie’s ‘Bitch’ behind bars.
Springfield pleaded no contest on a reckless driving rap in a Los Angeles court after the district attorney dropped DUI charges against him Thursday.
The “Jessie’s Girl” chart topper , 62, was ordered to pay a fine, complete an alcohol diversion course and serve three years of summary probation.
As The ENQUIRER reported previously the one-time heartthrob — who first shot to fame as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital in the early 80s – was arrested in his blue 1963 Corvette Stingray in May 2011 in Malibu by L.A. County Sheriff's Deputies on suspicion of DUI, RadarOnline.com reported.
Springfield has a progress report next February.
