Police say that ex-Bon Jovi lothario RICHIE SAMBORA allegedly threatened to kill his longtime lover and former business partner Nikki Lund.
As The National ENQUIRER first reported Sambora, 55, had cheated on his-then wife Heather Locklear with designer Nikki, now 33, back in 2006 and after their divorce took his love public.
But now, LAPD now wants to talk to the aging guitarist over allegations that he wanted to kill his Nikki, his ex- business partner and former lover a day after her new Nikki Rich clothing line was unveiled.
Sambora reportedly threatened to “dig a hole in the desert and bury” Nikki during an explosive phone argument.
Nikki, a formerly childhood pal of Kim Kardashian’s (whose father Robert defended O.J. Simpson) didn’t take the perceived risk lightly.
Nikki reported the purported peril with police, filing a report April 1 which was confirmed by Sgt. Tui Wright of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
“She stated that Mr. Sambora made some threats against her,” Sgt. Wright said.
“Deputies tried to contact Mr. Sambora, but he was not at his residence. A report was taken, and now Malibu Lost Hills detectives are investigating.”
Richie and Nikki became business partners in her clothing line venture last year, appearing on billboards around L.A. ballyhooing a projected opening of a ritzy store near the Kardashians’ Dash boutique.
Richie abruptly dropped out of the joint venture last month putting the kibosh on the frock house.
In a recent interview published last month with The ENQUIRER, Nikki admitted that her on-air disclosures to Playboy TV that “Richie was great in bed” might have stung his latest lover Orianthi Pangaris.
Rumors are rife that Orianthi’s jealousy may have prompted Richie to suddenly dissolve his business association with Nikki.
