REDMOND JAIL RERUN

description

The troubled son of the late Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal is back in jail.

A judge found Redmond O’Neal had committed a drug-related probation violation .

Redmond appeared yesterday at a hearing before Superior Court Judge Michael Tynan after being imprisoned Dec. 29.

It was unclear what prompted the judge to find O’Neal in violation but the program now requires Redmond to undergo frequent testing for drugs.

In the wake of his mother’s death, O’Neal was released from jail in 2009 after multiple drug-related arrests – including a father-and-son bust with dad Ryan -and ordered to attend an intense drug rehab program to avoid spending up to six years in jail.

O’Neal remains in police custody until he returns to court Feb, 2, a spokeswoman for the DA said.

Judge Tynan said that being "home" triggered Redmond’s relapse.

"Recovery isn’t a walk in the park, you have a responsibility to yourself to stay sober, not your family," he said.

POP FYI: Redmond is named for dad Ryan’s character in the Stanley Kubrick film Barry Lyndon about Redmond Barry an 18th Century reprobate.
