In the battle of Eva vs. Rachel, Ryan Gosling’s uncle is clearly in Rachel’s corner!
Kevin Gosling has dropped a bombshell on his superstar nephew, telling The National ENQUIRER for the first time how the actor’s family still thinks his ex, Rachel McAdams, was “the one,” and blasts Ryan for choosing feisty Eva Mendes over sweet Rachel!
In an explosive revelation sure to cause ripples in the Gosling household, Kevin showed off a 2006 photo of Ryan and Rachel — inside his home in Cornwall, Ontario, the small town where Ryan, 35, grew up.
“The last time we saw him was when he was here with Rachel McAdams,” said Kevin, 55, who recalled how they bonded with her, drinking beer into the late hours.
“We really liked her, too. It sure seemed like she was the one for him. Why it didn’t work out, we don’t really know.”
As for Ryan’s current partner, Eva, Kevin is no fan.
“I never got to meet Eva because when she came in 2012, she spent 90 minutes or so at my brother Billy’s place. … They were soon off and gone.”
Still, the impression Rachel, 37, made on Kevin continues to resonate — even nine years later!
“We’re going to see her new movie “Spotlight” because we still like her. She’s a great actress.”
Kevin seems optimistic that maybe Eva, 41, can still secure a spot among the Gosling clan.
“Hopefully soon he will visit again with Eva and the baby so we can get to know them, too.”
