R. Kelly broke his silence on the recent sexual assault charges that put him in jail in February in a Tuesday, March 5 interview with CBS This Morning‘s Gayle King. During the explosive sit-down, the singer repeatedly denied the allegations against him — an insisted that the slew of woman that have come forward are “lying on him.”

“I have to tell you, it’s so hard to believe that based on all that we’ve read, and what the women have said about you and what the women have said about you,” Gayle said.

“What women said about me. So nobody’s allowed to be mad at me and be scorned and lie on me?” R. Kelly replied.

“So they’re lying on you? That’s your explanation? They’re lying on you?” she asked.

“Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely,” R. Kelly said back. “I have been assassinated. I have been buried alive. But I’m alive.”

“So I think the point you’re making is, and correct me if I’m wrong, that you have never held anybody against their will?” Gayle asked.

At this point, the sicko exploded in front of the camera — and went off on a psycho tangent about how he’s innocent!

“I don’t need to. Why would I? How stupid would it be for R. Kelly, with all I’ve been through in my way, way past, to hold somebody, let alone 4, 5, 6, 50, you said — why — how stupid would I be to do that?!” R. Kelly asked.

He continued, “That’s stupid! Use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to, love me if you want. But just use your common sense. How stupid would it be for me, with my crazy past and what I’ve been through — oh right, now I just think I have to be monster, and hold girls against their will, chain them up in my basement, and don’t let them eat, don’t let them out, unless they need some shoes down the street from their uncle!”

A hysterical R. Kelly didn’t stop there. “Stop it. You all quit playing! Quit playing! I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me! I’m fighting for my f***ing life! Y’all killing me with this sh*t!” a screaming and crying R. Kelly said standing up. “I gave you 30 years of my f***ing career!”

“Thirty years of my career! And y’all trying to kill me? You killing me, man! This is not about music! I’m trying to have a relationship with my kids! And I can’t do it! Y’all just don’t want to believe the truth! You don’t want to believe it!” he said.

Gayle quickly called him out for playing the victim after giving him a moment to get his sh*t together.

“You sound like you’re playing the victim here. You sound like, R. Kelly — you do. I listen to you and it does sound like you’re playing the victim card,” Gayle said.

R. Kelly responded, “I’m just telling the truth. I’m just telling the truth. And the reason I’m emotional — and I apologize for that.”

The disgraced R&B singer has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and authorities say three of the four victims underage. He has pleaded not guilty to the allegations that further came to light after the shell-shocking documentary, Surviving R. Kelly, that aired earlier this year.
