“Aretha felt blessed performing for Pope Francis and suddenly felt he had specially favored her to take the next step in her life and get married,” a family friend told The National ENQUIRER.
Legendary singer Aretha shared the stage with Pope Francis at the Festival of Families in Philadelphia on Sept. 26. She’s been with Willie since 1985, but has never tied the knot.
That’s all changed now!
“Aretha said she felt peace and love flowing to her from Pope Francis and it settled the question she had been struggling with for years — whether or not to get married.
“Now, she’s over the moon, and says she knows walking down the aisle is the right thing to do,” the friend added.
