PATRICK SWAYZE lives on – even after death. And his most dedicated fans prove it by setting new world’s record in their devotion to the Dirty Dancing legend.
The acting legend lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on 14 September 2009 and to mark the one year anniversary, Swayze’s online acolytes descended en masse on the Dirty Dancing Facebook page.
Mission? Remember Patrick.
And the huge amount of posts set a new Guinness World Record.
Officials ruled the fans had made the most ever comments on a single Facebook post, with 10,260 notes left in honor of Swayze.
"Thanks to all fans who commented on Patrick’s Rip post on September 14th," the page’s administrator thanked the posters.
"You all are a part of contributing towards breaking a World Record for the most comments to a Facebook Post according to the Guinness Book Of World Records!"
